    late 80\'s VIN question

Can anyone tell me if there are places on a 85 to 89 jimmy to look for the vin. other than the plate on the dash?
    Thanks,
    John

check your glove box for the service parts i.d. list. and look on the drivers door. the vin should be in both places.

I have a question, What does the sticker in your glove box say? Mine only says that "This truck should not have a camper" or something along those lines. There is a sticker on the driver's side inner fender that lists all of the factory options, though.

plate on left side of the dash, glove box, drivers door trailing edge and also federal safety certification label on door post on drivers side, body code plate in engine compartment it will either be on radiator area or fenders or maybe on firewall by distributor, build sheet maybe under seat if lucky, also frame in super secret places. good luck
