Help!! I've bought one of those GM serpentine belt set ups. The 105amp alt comes with a plug that has 1 thick and 3 thin wires coming out of it. Anyone know where they all go? The alt also has the usual main feed terminal post. My diagrams only show 3 wires and even then don't show what is what.
    Thanks

your connector has 4 wires? I have a newer one, serp setup, I hooked 8G from the post to the batt and hooked the wire in the middle to an ignition hot source.

I have that same kit. I didn't use the wire harness that came in the kit. You need a different one. Just a second and I'll find the part number you need.

Okay this should give you all the info you need.

I bolded the info you're after specifically.

I used the resistor adapter. The part number isn't the same anymore, but the guy at the dealership was able to cross it over. Don't know how easy it will be for you to get it, being over in the UK and all. Shoot me a PM if you need me to hook you up.

I was unimpressed with some of the things that kit didn't have.

No problem! Just let me know.

The nice thing about the plug referenced above, is that you old will plug right into it. I liked that because it didn't require splicing wires.
