So I just won a 5 night, 4 day stay in a deluxe suite in Laughlin, NV, with meals paid. This does not pay airfare and I dont have vacation yet. What I'm wondering is if it would be worth it to go for a 3 day weekend, and if there's anything worth doing there? I would like to use it for something like a getaway in November to get away from the city. We'd have to pay for airfare, rental car, and our activities, but what's there to do out there? I just ran the map on mapquest and see that it's at the intersection of cali, nevada, and arizona. Hmmmmm....

Laughlin is just like Las Vegas but on a river. You can take the boats from Casino to Casino, it is a blast. Definately worth it.

You could wait until January when SCORE has the Laughlin Challenge Desert Race. They have the Laughlin Leap usually on Friday nite, then two days of racing over the weekend. They have grandstands at the infield, plus there's someplace called White Trash Hill I believe you can venture out to.
