    take a wild guess, but is that the height of the eye of the spring shackle to the center of the pack while they are unloaded. Just a shot in the dark.

    I don't think there is an industry standard for that measurement !
    The Rancho catologes of the 90's in the back show some commom spring demensions.
    And the online Rancho website used to have them posted in 2000 .
