Learned to use a mill and lathe today

    Finally took the safety/intro class in the school's machine shop. Now I have unlimited access to 8 lathes, 6 mills, 6 drill presses, 2 migs, a tig, oxy/ace, 2 plasma cutters and a tube bender.:D:D:D If only I could afford some metal.:crazy: It actually stays pretty quiet in there. You have to be an engineer to use it, and most of them prefer to spend their free time in the computer lab.;)

    Yup.;) This one is for MEs only actually, the main engineering shop is supposedly bigger. Never seen it though so I dunno.:confused:

    I've been using a lathe for the last week... its fun! but I dont really know how to do 'real" stuff... all I do is make the metal smaller in some spots... nevermind...

    It's in the back by the metal racks...there wasn't much room around it, maybe that's not its permanent home?:confused:
