I just got mine from musclerodz.com yesterday and had a chance to put them in today. They are definately much brighter than the old 1157s. I always worry about morons rear ending me on the freeway in the nightly commute. Hopefully this will make the large, bright orange truck a little more noticable in traffic.

I wonder how those compare to the ECE LED's? ECE is $199 though so you got off much cheaper.

Are they easy swap/replacements? That's going to be the ticket for me.

BTW, the best way to deal with rearend problems is a third taillight :D .

The ones I posted are ECE (Early Classic Enterprises). I heard they are pretty bright.

Super easy swap. The pig tail plugs into the socket. You do need to put a fat screw driver or a coin into a slot in the back of the plug to get it to turn into the socket, but I think it took about 5 minutes.

My understanding is that the ECE ones had some problems. These are actually sealed to the custom lens rather than being sandwiched between the housing the the lens.

IGOR - I was born and raised in LA. My parents moved us to Coos Bay to open the store right before I started High School. I'm a "born again" Northwesterner (but I still don't like rain drops on my balding head).

Yeah, but I'm not going to cut up my pristine rig for a 3rd tail light.

No pics yet. Been too busy and too lazy to go out and take pictures.

    Try this -

Me too, I can't keep a set on the shelf long enough to get a set mounted into a truck.:haha:
