My left tie rod is bad (tons of movement). I took the nut off and then I tried getting it out of the knuckle, it lifts out a little then the whole tube hits the spring. I tried jacking/releasing but I still cannot get it out. Any tricks. Thanks.

I ran into that problem once. I had to use a BFH and smack the crap out of it from the bottom. I didn't care that I was trashing it 'cause I was replacing it. Have you tried turning you wheels all the way to the left so that the top of the tie rod is not right under the spring? May or may not help, but seem to remember having to do that once. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

im guessing you have flat top knuckles? if so, try removing the passenger side tierod off also, and rotating the entire tierod out of both knuckles at the same time. you may have to also disconnect your steering stabilizer.
