Upon start up engine idles normal

you go to move the truck and hit the gas pedal and the truck starts coughing and missing...likes its only firing on a few cylinders.

when the truck warms up it goes away no more coughing or missing.

    name my sensor

sounds like a coolant temp sensor. Mine did that 'till I replaced it.

Could be a couple - TPS (throttle position sensor), maybe CTS (coolant temp). Could also be ignition wires/cap cracked or a number of things.

Invest when you can in a scanner of some type - www.autoxray.com has a good one that is about $150 that can read not only code problems but drivability issues can be diagnosed pretty easily. Example - in this case you'd know if the TPS was set right by the volts present at idle and on up............ /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

new plugs, rotor, cap, coil, wires, etc...
ran like a rapped ape when I replaced all of the worn out stuff.

there are no trouble codes going off.
