Damn... didn't even include a spline count on the TH400's output shaft! /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Hate to break it to you man... but without more info, I'm calling your transfer case Fred too! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

    If it's in the 'burb I'd say it's a 203. If i'm wrong it could be a 208 or a 205 though /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

"Fred" is starting to sound good.

BTW Dan, all TH400 outputs are 32 spline.

Should be a 400/203 in 79, and it would be 32 spline.

I know what should be in the truck, and can tell by just looking at tcases what they are..........but when all you have is the tranny to look at its a little more difficult to tell.........

Did you say it came out of a GM 79?
My Th400 in the Jeep is like that and it goes into the Quadra trac.
If the bellhousing is round it's Jeep. If not then I dunno.
