    Let\'s play \"Name this sensor\"

OKay, on the drivers side of the block there is a sensor which is leaking oil. I believe it's a2 or 3 wire sensor. Can someone give me a name for this since the parts store guys can only come up with the oil pressure sensor for the top of the block. I'm stumped, and this appears to be my only oil leak left. go figure. Anyway, some help is greatly appreciated..

I flipped through my manual and it shows an "Electronic Spark Control (ESC) sensor" on the lower right side of the block. It's a knock sensor that sends a signal to the computer to retard the timing when the engine is a knockin. It says it goes into a coolant passage, so it may not be what you're looking at.

    Re: Shhhhhhh. It\'s called \"Ed\"

It's the oil pressure switch that controls the Electric Choke and the Electric mix control carbs.
It's a figment of your imagination. I have been told by many parts stores. It doesn't have a name and you didn't see it. It is a mytical part only seen in fairy tails. For the rest of this post will will call it "Ed".
Serious I have never been able to get anytbody to find "ed" in the parts books. "Ed" may have a number on it that if you take "Ed" to a parts store they can cross reference. All 80's cars with electric choke has "Ed". Sometimes "ed" is located where yours is sometimes "ed" is located on a T in the port in the back of the block behind the distributor. The other sensor in that location is for the gage/idiot light. You will probably need to wisper to the parts guy when you ask for "ed" since your not supose to have a "ed" according to all known parts store computers.
