I've found that putting the work bench at the end instead of the side works better if you actually want to get 2 cars in there, or atleast do some serious mesuring before nailing anything down...Is this the kinda stuff your talking about, because as far as actuall layout most garages are kinda square shaped...LOL /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have my work benches on the left side(looking in). This allows me to pull my Blazer in, put small spare parts under the bench, and put large parts on the right side. My tools go on the left rear. With my truck, two engines, three transmissions, a transfercase and a workout bench I still have more than enough room to work. I don't use it to store cars unless I'm hiding them from my neighbors. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif They don't like part cars sitting in the driveway. Damn city people.

i can take a picture if you want, but this way will get you the idea.
take a 26 inch wide craftsman tool bot that stand 6 foot. table next to it. shelves on the other side. grinder and Air next to that. thats the back wall with the door to the house.
shelves and counter tops on the right side, as you face the house.
left side is garden tools and more shelves.
in the middle... take one 1974 chevy blazer and rip it into a million parts and pieces. thats my garage.

it is a well known fact that you will have more junk with more space. heres the formula:
    junk(lbs)=garage area^2
