I want to know how many of you are running a 37" MTR on your K5. How do they do and how do they look? Pics please.

Im guessing you can get pics from people's website.

But do a search, a lot of people love the MT/R's, they are only one of the many excellent choices for an onroad/offroad tire. Do a search, I think I've personally seen this question asked many a times.

Sidewalls are an issue in the rocks /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Make sure you get a good hazard warranty from a shop that will honor it /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif. See ya in Moab man....

MTRs are all ova in the rock crawlin competitions arent they? maybe their sidewalls arent THAT weak... I dunno, peeps keep telling me that procomp MTs have weak sidewalls... Ive never had a problem with them.

On average most rock crawlers are not full size trucks sporting big blocks and 5000-7000 pounds. So yes under our vehicles and the added stress, those sidewalls may be deemed as "weak" under SOME of our trucks. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

yeah i hear ya. Just seems like some peeps are ready to deem anything short of a 53" michelin (inch thick sidewalls!) as having "weak sidewalls!!!!!". like I was sayin b4, thats all I ever hear about procomp MTs when I am out wheelin and yet they never seem to have sidewall problems. <shrug> I think some people just unreasonably abuse stuff and then get mad when said stuff breaks. "who the [naughty word] do you mean I can cut through my sidewalls with a blowtorch?!?! they're weak!!!!" lol! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Re: Let\'s see some tire pics and hear some feedback!

Let me qualify what I'm saying. My K5 weighs in at 6400 lbs. ,trail ready, with me in it, no other riders. I wheel the crap out of it on 4 or better trails, at least 3 times a month. In less than one year, I have 1 punctured sidewall. 2 other guys I wheel with have also damaged sidewalls in the last year. It's a radial tire with a C load rating. I'm not bashing this tire, or saying the sidewalls are "weak". It's prolly the best radial out there. I'm just saying to be aware, it's not an SX as far as sidewalls go....
