Anybody heard/know/seen anything about this? It's the only movie playing that might be worth watching, but I've never heard of it.

Kinda off topic but I am ready Flags of Our Fathers right now. It is pretty intense. When I am done I will watch the movie. I have not heard of Letters from Iwo Jima though.

IMDB says it's directed by Clint Eastwood, and it's the Japanese side of the battle. :dunno:

Looks to me to be the other side of the story to Flags of Our Fathers. Eastwood directed both of them. It is pretty rare to have both sides of the same conflict protrayed. And both movies are made from first hand accounts. I def need to find the 2 Japanese books and read them now also.:D Thanks for the info

I missed Flags of Our Fathers, which greatly disappoints me. I guess I have to wait for it to release on DVD.
