I am wondering if a 1990 tailgate will fit my 74 blazer? Also my truck now runs 33's but if I put a 2" body lift on it can I run 35's?

I think your $h*t outta luck. I believe that 77-91 tailgates are interchangeable with each other. I'm ordering a new OEM one for my '82 and they said it work for any 77 on up hardtop equipped K5.

You might still be able to get an OEM one. The last year for our trucks was '91 and part manufacturers have to make replacements for 10 years. I'm getting all the stuff I can while I have time. I'm not sure if any K5s came with a manual crank in '91 but its worth a shot. I'd just go to a junk yard to get the stuff. That way its original and doesn't cost alot.

Yeah, I think you can get the OEM one, but the difference is about 5 times the price. I bought mine from a dealer a while ago for about $200. Now it hurts when I see my catalog and it's only about $40!![IMG]

For the lift issue, 35's should work with a 2" body lift, but if you off-road alot you will have rubbing on the body...

Hey Blazer79 I wouldnt be feelin' to bad dude. You got a hell of a lot better crank than LMC has. No way is that LMC thing an original. I've come to find that LMC stocks alot of crap and jacks the price up some things seem near original. Here is a shinning example...I'm going to get an OEM tailgate from the dealer for a little over $260, course I do have access to a tax wholesale number but even with out its $357. LMC seems to think an OEM tailgate should list for $562 and sell for $449. I don't think you got too bad of a deal, personally I would have gone to a junkyard but who am I to talk. I'm shelling out over a grand for new OEM body parts.
