i live in Tempe, Az and own a 76 Jimmy Half ton. I am interested in lifting my truck 4 inches, what is the best lift kit for a daily driver and weekend wheeler as well as affordable. What are the best shocks for my applications, i dont do rock crawling. Second when i lift my truck what things have to be done to my steering system to stop wandering. Does anyone reccommend any 4x4 companies in my area that are really good?
    Thanks for your help

Check with Off Road Unlimited in Mesa (Broadway and Extention), Fly-n-Hi in Mesa (Country Club South of Southern), And 4 Wheel Supply in Phnx.(Washington West of 48th St.). That's a good start and you may also want to try some of the wrecking yards around town, I baught my 4" Rancho for $100.00 including RS5000 Shocks. Also try Dunbar Springs in Phnx.718 W Jeferson. 602-258-6901

I'd be happy to lend a hand putting it in. I might not be able to offer any techinical help, but at least I can offer up some muscle and I'm right near Tempe...

...and I'll be doing my lift this summer as well...

Actually was in K.C. on business 2 weeks ago. No free time or I would have looked you up.

Course you buy the ticket and I'll jump on a plane for the next adventure!

I don't like desert rat because my buddy had his rearend rebuilt there and had to take it back 3 times. They eventually sent it out to some one else to set up the gears and ETC.

I like Offroad Unlimited (broadway and extention) check out their website Macromotive.com

The site is not linked directly to them, but throught a network they are involved with

    Good luck

I was at Russell Stovers Candies. they are one of my customers of whose network I built and manage for them. Not sure where they are because I didn't drive, but we were around the corner from a Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs. (Funny how we relate dirctions to food huh?[IMG])

If I'm heading out there again I'll let you know ahead of time and we can hook up after hours.

Back on the subject, I don't like the attitude I get at Desert-Rat. Fly-in-Hi isn't much better, but Off-Road Unlimited at least has cordial customer service. I guess what counts is good work and low prices, and I'm always open for suggestions.
