Does any one have a lightbar on their 1st gen that works with or without the top? I was thinking of fabbing something up to my windshield but was wondering how it would look.

I have been looking for a way to fab some light mounts also. Either a bar across the top, just barely above the windshield what attaches to the A-pillars or two small "L" brackets that will hold 1 light each and mount to the A-Pillars just above the cowl/fender. Unfortunately my welds while functional are far from what I would want to show in public.

I would like to put some on each side on the windshield frame about half way up (like they do it on jeeps). I don't know that I want my truck any taller...it will just scrape more on trees

I've have some holes drilled into the windshield frame about 3/4 ways up, maybe they were for lights...

Anyone with some welding skills want to give the little L brackets a try? I can give it a go this weekend, but the welds will look like a$$. I need a wire-feed /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I saw some out of heavy gage stainless sheet, cut with a plasma cutter and just bent with a metal brake. very clean and simple.

just do one like the jeeps do. it fastens to both sides of the windshiels and it runs a tube up over the frame about an inch.

    light bar clicky

or make a removable onr for your rollbar.
