I have a used Lincoln Arc for sale, its a 225amp AC unit. I'm letting it go for $100 plus shipping. Unless you are local then its just $100. I am out of work and need the extra $$, thats why its being sold.

Can get pics for anyone who is interested.

<font color=purple> I don't mean to insult you but how old is it and what else does it come with ? I don't know anything about welding but would love to learn, I just don't know if this will work for me or not ??????

How about it guys ? Is this a good deal or what ?? I'd like some input from some of you.

I just don't want to buy an older unit that is worn out or whatever ?

At a output of 225 amps it prob has a high input current @220V (I also know nothing about welding). If that is the case it would cost you alot more than the price of the welder to wire your house.
Just $.02 from someone who doesen't have it to give.

Yes it's 220 volts. It's a good welder. It welds 3/4inch just fine. It will weld 1/8-1/4 (what you need for bumpers and such) all day. That's the same welder I used to build most of my truck. Really 1/8 inch is about as thin as you want to try to weld with a stick. If your looking to do sheet metal work you need to go to a mig. A good combo to have is this welder and the 110v Lincoln with the gas kit. Between the 2 there is not much that you wouldn't be able to do. The 225 welder new is Like $250.
As for wiring. I wired mine for $50. I didn't need the 220 outlet for the dryer because I use Gas so I just bought the wire used the dryer breakers and ran it to the garage. I run my welder and my compressor off of it.

Yes its 220, it comes with the main unit, the ground cable, and the work cable. Also comes with a 220v outlet that you can get wired into your house. All you'll need to start welding with it is the sticks and some protections (hood, gloves, apron) Grim get in #jeep :)
