And it's white? How about red with yellow flame's?

It is a neat ride though! I could just imagine towing a snowmobile trailer with that hummer! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

I seldom pop into this forum, but noticed the name "Lingenfelter" listed in the title of the "Last Post" field on the list of forums page. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

John Lingenfelter has been building some of the most kickass stuff on the planet for many years. He personally piloted one of his twin-turbo Corvettes to a top speed of 224 MPH on a track in Ohio several years ago. We're talking about an otherwise bone-stock, off-the-lot car. John took great pride in building cars with totally amazing power, but with all of the factory accessories still in operation. His cars still had a/c, cruise control, etc. and would idle smoothly in summer traffic without even a hint of overheating. But when you jumped on the loud pedal, the car would respond with neck snapping, mind altering power. He liked to build sleepers that looked totally stock (at least until you opened the hood! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif ) but were fast enough to be competitve at the Bonneville Salt Flats. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif He just knew how to squeeze every last drop of power out of EFI engines and still have them be totally docile daily drivers.

Unfortunately, John probably isn't even aware of this Escalade. He has severely injured in a drag racing crash last October. A medication that he was given in November, prior to one of the operations that have been performed on his vertabrae, caused a severe reaction and cardiac arrest. Apparently John suffered brain damage during this incident and has been in a semi-comatose state since that time. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You can read the whole story at http://www.lingenfelter.com/JLStatus.asp

I spent some time on the phone with John and his staff about 12 years ago, when I was planning the buildup of the 383 in my K5. He's a hell of a nice guy and all my best wishes go out to he and his family. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
