Read in 4WOR yesterday that the land is owned by a private owner now, who may develop the land for use as housing. The land was on lease by the School and Institutuinal Trust lands Admin. This group managed real estate trusts granted to the State by the US gov't when it became a state. So the trust sold out to a private real estate developer.

    What next?

Yes, it has been talked about for the last couple of months. The owner is apparently planning some condos at the place, but if I recall correctly, they were offroad friendly....................

Sounds about right, thats why Illinois residents own half of Lake Michigan water frontage in the state of Mich.

In all seriousness, it always bums me out to see any open land closed up for future housing development, especially with so many homes being forclosed.

I have no problem with Kalifornikators, if they would only **** up just one state... their own. As it is, they like to immigrate up here and it sucks. They can't drive, they are socialists, they are overcrowding the place, and they are driving house prices through the roof. In the next few months I am going to buy a house for $215k or so.... if not for a tidal wave of morons from down south, it would probably be closer to $115k for the exact same house. Gee, thanks a lot for screwing us over.

I still vote for a big wall around that crap hole. I lived in so cal for a couple of years, and if I have my choice I'll never step foot in that hell hole again. It's only a tiny baby step above North Korea on my "places to visit" list.

I'm really suprised that GW hasn't created a plan that would break Kalifornia off and let them float away. Ya know... since he has the ability to create hurricanes, breaking the socialist state off should be no problem.

Our gunny in the Marines always said, "we can't go into that grid square Marines, its the (start sarcasm voice) protected habitat of the blue-balled gnat!". Classic. :thumb:

I actually had bad thoughts about California before I went there. From the Nitro at Pomona, to the Ships at Coronado, to the Pacific Coast highway, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Tijuana absolutely is a sh!thole, and San Fran housing is out of control.

Like I said when I was in.... "California would be fine... if you got rid of all the Californians." ;) :thumb: It has nice weather, great varied terrain etc etc... but it also has 20+ million communists.
