ok, long story short, my grille emblem has been attatched with velcro strips due to the lack of anything better for about 2 weeks now...

yesterday i opted for some super glue at gomart and redid the whole thing last night. Everything was fine, didnt jiggle...nothing.

So i come home this morning and its gone, lol.

Im looking at lmc, just to see how much a replacement is....40$?!?

Somethings in lmc are cheap, but it seems like they have alot of their prices BACKWARDS....euro tail lights are 240$!!!! but some stuff in there is dirt cheap...anyone else notice this?

(anyone else have a grille emblem for an 86?)

I Know, I was looking at some interior and weatherstripping parts and they weren't too bad. But then I looked at engine parts and Krikee!!! They want how much for an edelbrock performer?

I was thumbing through the other day and saw Headman headders for $300.00 something dollars. Most places have them for around $100.00. I don't get it either

If a company doesnt buy enough volume from places like edelbrock, or headman, then they have to pay a higher price for it. So then end having to pay more.

Headman also has some pricey headers. The cheap ones are the only headers Headman makes.. Jeg's has some Headmans that around $300 too.

Some of their prices are just unbelieveable. I was looking through either the LMC or the Chevy Duty catalog the other day and noticed that they get $49.95 for the "wiring harness" that goes to the dome light. We're talking about 2 pieces of wire, maybe 8 feet long, with a connector at each end! /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif And here I gave the wiring and the dome light away... /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I can usually get better prices at the Chevy dealer than from those two places......usually.

Go to a junkyard and find one.

I've found that unless your local dealership is a "stealership" it's cheaper to buy it from the dealership if they've got it.

I needed parts for my /forums/images/graemlins/burb.gif tailgate (window track, rollers, etc.). I saved over $60 getting them from the local dealer rather than LMC and I also didn't have to pay shipping.

Have you tried Cheyenne Pickup Parts ?

It's almost the same as LMC, but some of their stuff has better prices, some don't. Great service, though.
