Sometimes when driving along and I hit the gas gently the rpms will drop and to correct the problem I have to hit the gas hard and the truck will pull with no problem. It almost feals like the tranny is shifting but I am already in high gear. Someone mentioned to me it could be the lock up torque converter and not to worry about it. Just wondering if there could be a vacume or wireing problem I can check? It doesnt do it every day but on days it does, it does it a lot. 1980 K5, 350-TH350-205.
    Thanks,
    Joe

I should have been more clear, I understand what the lock up torque converted does but it feals like it kicks in too early and the rpms drop too much.
