I recently installed some WArn standard hubs on my truck I took it to get aligned today and they called and told me that they had the hubs off (for alignment?????????????????) and that when they took them off, the whole thing popped out, and that it was missing parts...they said they weren't bolted down right (WTF?) how do you mess up on that? They also said the big spring was missing, but I explained the auto's have those and tht manuals didn't come with them. Then they said the sanp ring was in the wrong place...Do I need that spring? Does any of tyhis make sense at all? Are these people idiots? (Yes)

Um yeah they took of the hubs for alignment? They are smokin' da crack! Why would they need to take them off? I got my beast aligned and they didn't take my hubs off or lose the pieces. That place is dumb. I woudn't pay for anything at all. They screwed up and are trying to pass it off on you.

I'll be bithch slapping the manager AFTER I get my truck back. They closed at 8:00. Everyone here at the house left at 7:00 to be back in a few minutes. After 2 hours, and a few nasty messages on cell phones that are TURNED OFF, I still dont have it back. Why do people even have cell phones if they are always off anyway? Thats really stupid...friends are busy...gotta wait till tomorrow...gonna be pissed if I dont ge ti back before tomorrow night..........sorry for the vent

Maybe they found loose wheel bearings and were going to adjust them. Alignment won't hold with loose bearings or other suspension parts. No you don't need the big spring.
You maybe did'nt get the snap ring in the groove all the way.
Try a shop that works on 4X4's.

I have to say that what DMK said is highly possible! Also in order to set camber and caster on a straight axle, you do need to remove the rotors! That is an expensive undertaking and requires shims that are usually not stocked.

Seems to me that they did mess up ... but it should be an easy fix! Perhaps they will need to buy you a new snap ring, but shouldn't be difficult to get from Warn.

    Good luck!

The camber and caster were fine, usually all a straight axle needs is toe in.

OK - I dont really remember if he said crap or stuff...crap sounds better though[IMG] probably shouldn't have posted it that way...anyway the guy at the counter was pretty cool about it. I asked about the hubs and got the name of the guy who said they were messed up and will talk to him when he works tomorrow.

i would pull your hubs apart and check to see if they are together the right way or if he just did not know what he was doing
