There is a tech writeup here on CK5 for the gear install. As far as the locker I dont have any personal experience but most people here seem to recommend the Detroit. There is suppose to be an electric locker coming out this Summer/Fall.

<font color=blue>I just put a Detroit in my 14 bolt 2 weeks ago, but I didn't change the ring and pinion gears. What do you need to know?

The yoke on the pinon is so bad I think I may need to replace them both
The rust is that bad so I wanted to see the complete setup before the torch came out. People tell me that the backlash is so important to do properly I bet I can do it well but I did not want to rush in.
This seemed to be a good time for a locker
    thanks
