A Friend has an 85 K5 with front and rear 10 bolts, we just replaced the wheel bearings on the front, and he wanted me to change the oil in the rear diff. well his posi (not sure what kind) Blew up. He's pretty broke ($250) so my thought is to just replace the whole diff, (if we can find one cheap) and we went around to all of the Pick and Pulls locally with no luck. Anyone know of any place in NorCal that sells rear 10 bolt's cheap? /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You can probably find one on this site eventually. Post a message in the for Wanted forum and check the for sale forum. Make sure to fill out your profile. You'll get more responses! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I tried but i am unable to post in the wanted or For Sale Sections. I am trying to find one that is in working shape, and i know a lot of you guys put 3/4 ton running gear's in your K5's and probably have 10 bolts laying around.

Does the gear ratio matter? My buddy will have a complete 10 bolt rear w/ 2.73's out of his 87 K5. Its coming out in a couple weeks. Located in Alameda.

If the price is right... he's got 3.73's right now, but needs to get it back on the road quickly. and for a small amount of $$
