looking for a super long travel shock any recommendations?

    [/ QUOTE ] if the piston was 16'' long then the shock wouldn't have any travel, it would fill the entire tube of the body... The piston is only like +/- 1/2'' long and mounts at the top of the shaft. The shaft may be 16'' long though but even then you couldn't really get any more than 15'' of useable travel out of it.

    [/ QUOTE ] and for something along the same lines without going to a 2.5, fox can custom build non-threaded bodied 2.0's with up to 18'' travel at no extra charge (just have to wait 6 weeks /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif)
