Dont forget you can use a 14FF detroit with 14 bolt axle shafts (for proper spline count) in the Eaton /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

They are getting hard to find is the only problem. I posted a want ad on one of my antique truck email lists to see if I can find one. You can also post an ad on Stovebolt swap meet for free as it would be a great place to find Eaton axle parts.

i was at the local pull and save and there were 5 eaton rear ends there none of them had lockers, i didn't even think to check gears. there's this redneck junk yard near my house that has 6 of them and i've never checked their gears or locker possibilities.

I was there with Kevin (reeser) yesterday at Pull n Save. It surprised me when he spotted 2 or 3 eatons under older Chevy Vans. I was just looking at the trucks, but appearently a bunch of vans had them too.

i'm too far out to be buying accessories for an axle that i don't have. do you know if a 14 bolt yoke will work on an eaton or if they make bigger yokes (i need a 1410 when i swap it in).

no 14 bolt fine spline and eaton is course and the 513s in good shape are probally harder to come by than the lockers , i have a couple of the lockers 150 each. but only have one more good dropout with 513s and i have owned (stashed them) for years now but i have also supplied them to several friends and then ruined a couple and so forth.

I found one complete centersection w/5.13's for $100 but it is in Indiana. If anything goes thru with hauling a pickup bed for a guy from IN out I might be able to get him to pick it up and meet me with it when he picks up the truck bed...
