anybody got one they want to part with for dirt cheap? I may be looking for one for my hotrod if I can find one cheap enough / close enough the shipping won't kill me.

if not I'm going to look for a furd 9...

I'll be taking a 3.73 Gov-Loc rear end out of my Suburban soon. $200 drum-to-drum. Or I can get ya a 3.42 Gov-Loc rear out of a K5 for $150. Take a weekend "vacation" down to Colorado and pick one up. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think '89 was the first year for 30 spline rears, so the '88 with 3.42's is probably a 28 spline. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Harry - keep your hands one that on with 3.73's would ya???

I may just take you up on that in the spring. are they both 28 spline? or is one of them a 30 spline?

got another member in kansas that's got a 30 spline. I'm thinking shipping would be too much, but I'm going disk anyway so I could have somebody pull the drums off. would be much cheaper.

he's got 3.42's though, and I'm thinking I want 3.73's. would probably be willing to go to 28 spline to get the 3.73's. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

The 3.73's are in the back of my '90 Suburban, so it should be a 30 spline.

I just got some weenie tires mounted on those wheels yesterday. Gonna swap over to the 3/4-ton stuff, install the engine, then put some 35's under it. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I'm staying with the weenie tires for now so the engine swap will be easier. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
