Does anyone know where to get spindles for my '77 with a Dana 44. they are slightly worn and need to be replaced (with heavier duty ones preferably).

I don't know about 'heavier duty" ones, but I have some 10 bolt spindles that you can use.

There is no such thing as "heavier duty spindles" as far as D44 and 10 bolt spindles go. They are the same thing, 1/2 and 3/4 ton.

The next step to "heavier duty" would be the D60, which is in a class of its own.

I have a pair of 10 bolt spindles, which will work just fine for your D44.

PM me for a price which will include the shipping cost to your door. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

There are two versions of the D44 spindle, but you have the beefiest one already. They changed in '76 I believe, the earlier ones were a bit smaller than the later ones.

Yep, "first design" was from '73 to '76.

"Second design" was from '77 up to '91. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
