don't know what you guys are going to get from this, but I'm interpreting it to mean trust lands are closed at least until the end of august... No Florence Junction this summer then I assume? http://www.land.state.az.us/news/2002/wildland_fire_emergency.htm

Looks like BLM is just sticking with fire restrictions for now though... http://azwww.az.blm.gov/fire.htm

Yep, til we get some monsoon weather, look for more and more closures. It's very very dry out there, and add to that- idiots are being careless.

I just glanced over it quickly but it only mentions fires, fireworks(damnit) smoking. As far as I know the state trust land covers the Cottonwood Canyon and the Guard area. Once you get past the red flag that tells you you are leaving the live explosives area you are on BLM. And Box Canyon IS BLM. But I'm not sure I wanna go in there when it's this hot(insert broken trucks jokes here/forums/images/icons/smile.gif) Lemme know if I'm wrong about the boundries.......

I still don't think that Martinez Canyon is on State Trust Land tho. As a matter of fact the mines are controlled by BLM. And Box Canyon is a residential road (technically). Again, if someone has a stronger grasp on this fill us all in. I'd like to go to the coke ovens.

yea, I know out there it's a little weird, something like the trails are on BLM land, but all the campgrounds & stuff are Trust... I'm not really sure
but at this rate, I honestly don't see the BLM being far behind with closures.

Trust land is in odd sections of sections - I don't have a current one, but the surface responsibility maps for that area will blow your mind - looks like a really weird jigsaw puzzle.
