I've been drilling holes in this box for about three weeks. I finally got a set up I like and beleave will work. I will be doing a tech artical for our new tech section on the So Cal Big Dawgs website with the next box I drill.

I have no idea. I would think it would still work. You should atleast buy a rock rod of some form though. I am thinking about making those too(at a later time).

Very nice---one ?? for you though (and it may have been discussed before but I'm not on as much) and i already have hydro but the answer will be piece of mind---How doy you determine where to drill and tap the box--so far i have seen three different places to drill---mine, fox's, and now yours---I'm confused

    Re: Looky what I did.....

That can be a long answer, I will make it short without the detail. If you have ever had a box apart, the big rack is also a piston. If you turn left, the fluid presurizes one side of that rack/piston. Turn the right, and the other side is presurized. The rib on the bottom of the box is a channel for the fluid to get to the back side of the piston. I drilled into that. ARG drills into the same channel, but they do it at the valve body. I don't think it matters where you drill, as long as you get on both presure sides of the rack/piston. Have I confused you yet?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I know the off-road advantages but can you describe the 'feel' on-road?

More effort to turn, ease of finding center, etc....

I haven't had it on the road yet. I drove it down the street to see if the steering wheel was centered and then pulled it up on the trailer for this weekends trip. I will let you know after I drive it.
