    Loosing compression, any idea\'s??

My 84 sub was using a little water, I noticed it was coming from under the head at the rear of the motor so I bought new head gaskets and tore it down.
The heads looked like they needed milled so I took the heads off my parts 6.2 and inspected them. They looked alot smother than the ones off my truck so I desided to use them.
I clean them up the best I could and stuck them on with all new fel-pro gaskets.
Had a hard time getting it to fire up but finaly it started but it was missing. I still had the oil filler cap off and noticed alot of smoke coming out of it. I put my hand over it and felt alot of pressure so I figure I've gat an internal compression leak.
I torqued everything down using the instructions in my hanes manual 20lbs,50lbs,then 90deg past that point.
Any one have any ideas why I've got this leak? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
