Something shot out the back of my rear differential on the way to work today. Anybody have experience replacing gears, or know place I can take mine? It WAS a 12-bolt with 4.11s.
    thanks,

I did that to 3 different 12-bolts in 3 years. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif Now I'm a big fan of 14-bolt FF's. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Setting up your own gears isn't too tough, but can be VERY time consuming. Lots of take it out, put it back in and measure until it's just right. Shops here in Colorado Springs were quoting me $1,100 to put a new ring and pinion in the back of my S-Jimmy. So I did it myself! Took me about 8 hours to get it right, but it's held up fine for the last 2 years or so. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif If you have the right tools, and plenty of patience, you can do it yourself.

I've got a 4:11 3/4T 14 Bolt for sale. It should bolt right up. Doug (K5NUTT) was interested in it but I haven't heard from him. I bought it from a friend a couple of years ago for $250 but didn't use it. All I want for it is what I paid and maybe a couple beers for storage? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
PM me if you are interested.

    Hey Marty.
After I talked w/ you, I ended up going out too Bennett. I didn't get back until 7. I'll be leaving & going to Steamboat in the AM. Work related. Hopefully i'll be back early enough to check for you. Ed
