Looking for recommendations on the lowest gear and biggest tire combo in my 87 K5 with stock running gear. Currently running 3.73 gears and 32x11.50's.

If you are sill fully optioned (top on, door on etc) then for tires I would say 35s. As for gears 4.56s are the lowest you can go. Anything lower and the pinion gets too small.

5.57 is the lowest gear ratio available for the 10 bolt. This gearset requires a special cross pin. I cannot speak to the strength of these gears, but hey: it's a 10 bolt.

Still Poundin' "pavment" after all these years!!! [IMG]
