I need help guys. When I put my k5 into drive from reverse without pausing in neutral it lurches really bad and sometimes I can hear a grinding sound like the gears in the trans are chewing themselves up.Same thing if I go from park to drive too fast.It won't do it from park to reverse.
I recently changed the universal joints and they were shot. They seem to have been bad for some time.I just bought this blazer a few months ago and I was wondering if the u-joints may have messed up the 'case or tranny from having too much slop in the driveshaft?86 k5 700r4 208

My truck was doing that too and I came to find out that it was the T-case shifter in between gears. Maybe it's just a little out of whack.
