Anyone have a pic with them mounted on or off your blazer/truck? Looking into getting a set. Much cheaper than Welds and stronger too. Any feedback?

It's my understanding that the Classic II's are not forged, they're cast wheich is why they're much cheaper. They're not as strong either. About the same strength as American Racing or other "normal" aluminum wheels. They sure look nice though. :)

Oh, they are not forged? Dindnt notice that. When I said stonger I meant they have a larger load capacity. The M/T's are @3600 and the Welld SS II's are at 3300. Why would I want forged over cast, besides if I wanted to spend lots of money that I dont have??

Are you sure the MT II's have a 3600 lb rating? That sounds like the number for the MT originals which are forged from aluminum billets and are very strong. Make sure you're buying what you think you're buying. [IMG]

Re: M/T classic II\'s

These are high on my wish list, too. I have never seen them in the size that I want, but the finish was great on the ones I saw. They look better than Eagle 589's because the insides of the holes are polished just like the face of them. I was actually surprised becasue the 589's don't look quite as good up close as they do in some pictures, but they are nice wheels too. Also, IMO, the bigger holes on the M/T II look better and are more unique than the AR and EA rims that everyone is running without getting to some crazy busy looking wheel.

If you can find a local shop that has a set, they might be willing to test mount them for you, which is the ultimate way to really know what they'll look like. I am looking for a shop that will test mount them with some 35s for me for just a quick 36-month trial [IMG]

I thought I heard somewhere that the Classic II is lighter than the Eagle 589 and the Classic I. Is that true? Of course, any of these is a lot lighter than my current steel 16.5x9.75s.

If a K-5 is "Built not Bought", why does this stuff cost me so much money? [IMG]

I called M/T this morning to see if they had 16.5x12's yet and that is when I asked about the load rating. He said that it was 3600, and was right up there with there other forged wheel. What size were you wanting Blue85?? The guy this morning sais they should have the size I was looking at ready to send out in 4-5 weeks, cause they already have a ton of orders for them.

Might be my software. I keep getting a page with a bunch of "puzzle" looking pieces with "?" in them.

I am trying to get the magazine deal ($139) at a local Discount Tire. Sounds like they will do it.
What are the going prices?
I am pricing the 16x10 8 lug.
