    Hey,
I just another free lift kit for the blazer and was wondering what brand of springs are made in canada ?? the truck the springs came from was shipped from california. They are 4 inch front springs with the code "C5S" on them ? and a made in canada logo. They are 5 leafs, nothing really special about them, just wondering who in the heck made them !! Maybe whiteknight would know ??
    Thanks,
    Blake

Eaton Corporation has a subsidiary company that makes leaf springs in eastern canada somewhere... Oxford Spring or something like that.

    Maybe they make em.

And I think there's a spring manufacturer in the vancouver area somewhere too.

Judging by the post so far, it may have been quicker to ask which weren't made in Canada. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

There is a spring manufacturing place here in Surrey that makes the BDS springs and I think a few others. They don't sell to the public though /forums/images/icons/mad.gif /forums/images/icons/mad.gif

I can't recall the name of the place off hand but I could find out.

Thanks...that would be the place. The part that sucks is that if I bought BDS springs this place would make them, ship to the US, then back through customs into Canada to end up less than 5 miles from where they were made. I could save them a lot of shipping... /forums/images/icons/grin.gif

Ottoman/McAllister does the same thing, but you can buy direct.
I saw James Duff truck getting a load there and the guy listed off a big list of 'famous' names that they make.

Here is somethign that just crossed my mind. With all these lift companies buying from similar places, I wonder how many of the springs are actually the same with just a different companies logo on them?

Like say, Superlift uses the same spring for their Superride as say BDS? Just an Example.... Maybe if I get some time today, I could make some calls and see who uses what mfg to make their springs and see who actually is selling the smae springs...???...
