With all this talk of mufflers recently, does anyone run a Magnaflow? I'm thinking of switching my Flowmasters as I'm always up for a change. A different tone would be cool (and so would more of it if there is such a thing that's louder than 40s).

So, ever seen, heard, or owned Magnaflow?

I was wondering about them too but Im looking for a decently quiet muffler. Do they make a quiet version that flows well?

Yes, they have large case versions. Some are up to 30" long.

my nephew has one on his dakota. nice and deep tone, quiet inside the cab compared to my 40 series delta flow. outside sounds real tuff. after hearing them both i think i shoulda gotten the magnaflow. for some reason my muffler is real loud below 2500, and gets quieter as the rpm goes up. his gets louder the higher rpm you go, as they should

What size case do you have? I'm looking for something louder/deeper than my flowmatsters.

    Hmm...

In that case I might be disappointed that they're too quiet.

    Borla?...Gibson?....

If ya want loud, I think they still make Cherry Bombs...
Or get an ElCheepo glasspack and burn the filler out of it before installation...back in the day those were called "smittys"...

I like deep tones, but I'm not into obnoxious loud...

I used to have glasspacks. I am sick of them.

I might still try the Magnaflows, they might have a nice tone.

I am just pretty much changing things around just to get something different. I like changing my exhaust around for a different tone every year or so.

I have dual magnaflow exhaust. It sounds awesome. It works out perfect because unless you really get on it, it just sounds like a good running engine, not quite like headers. If you punch it to strut your stuff, everyone looks. It gave me more top end, but it was definitely worth it. I don't believe in replacing something like that unless it's needed though, and mine was tweaked and falling apart.
