i want to make some money
i want to get rid of my k5
    i want a newer car
    --------------------
my k5 is worth...mabye 5k? if i take all my junk off of it, have some of the paint and rust fixed up, get rid of some rattlings, and squeeks...

with that money, i want to buy 2 cars
    one to drive
one to fix/resell and make some money

eventually, i want to make enough to where i can buy a nice car for my self, and have my debts paid off from the blazer

i will be working on the side, but the quicker the better

im a pretty quick learner, and i have lots of business expirence, but i dont have any expirence selling/buying cars

im not going to open a used car lot, just one at a time

    ------
    any advice/tips

How did your K5 get you in debt? It's not hardcore or anything? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif Best of luck though, I've had a few friends who've done this. As long as your the only one doing the work then you can make some coin but it ain't much...

Ive sold some cars on the side myself. My advise is to keep your costs low and dont buy anything to resell that people dont want. The last one I bought to resell was a 1998 Contour, I couldnt give that dang car away!

Sorry....I thought I remembered that you lived with your parents and were griping about having to run errands for them all the time so I assumed you were new at owning your own business. Didnt mean to offend you. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Find out what the "dealer" laws are in your state first. Many states will require you to have an auto dealers license if you sell more than a certain number of cars per year. It's cheaper to buy the license than to pay the fine for operating a business without a license. /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

Also look into city codes for what type of maintenace you can even do where you live. There's been a big crackdown on poeple in Colorado Springs who are running shops out of there residential houses. Apparently there are some laws that govern this as well. Probably not a big deal for the guy who does it once in a while, but if it's all the time, could be a problem.

The Kodak Professional 8500, Photo Quality, Letter Size, Dye Sublimation Printer should work very nicely for making money.
