Just a heads up. The Game and Fish and other agencies have been out at Florence Junction checking for State Trust land permits and for RV plates on quads. You can get the form online for a permit http://www.land.state.az.us/programs/natural/rec_permit.pdf. Good for a year. I was told by a ranger that buying a permit helps to prove to the lawmakers that people do use lands for OHV use. As well as avoiding a fine if you don't have one, it also helps keep lands open.

    Note From Rob:
Everyone that wheels with us that is reading this message needs to understand how important this is to us in Florence. Please don't forget this document for this season. This is not a budget buster for most of us and it's just not worth the hassle from the law over 25.00.

They are more concerned that you have one in your rig. If you have a trail rig, trailer, tow rig combo they reccomend putting the hanging pass in the tow rig and a copy of the one you filled out in the window of your camper and another somewhere with the trail rig.

I asked this question last year. They said basically people living in the same household. Since I was living w/ my brother at the time, I used his for the quads.

Look at the list of what is prohibited though, even with a permit!RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES NOT ALLOWED ON STATE LANDS UNDER ANY PERMIT:• Target shooting, paint ball games, fireworks
    • Non-recreational or extended camping
    • Recreational flying
    • Visiting prehistoric and historic cultural or archaeological sites
    • Metal detecting
    • Collecting or removing natural products (rocks, stone, soil, fossils, mineral specimens, cacti, saguaro or cholla skeletons, plants (live or dead), or firewood for home use
    • Rock crawling or rock hopping

Kind of defeats the main purpose for going.

This is camping for grater than 14 days, and/or living out of a camper. Doesn't apply to typical camper.

Mine is here . Real fast Michelle mailed it on a Friday , I got it on Tuesday . They sent a copy of the applicationmarked paid , and a window hanger .

Would we be able to hang the hanger in a tow rig , and carry the permit on our person when wheeling , and be kosher with the fuzz ?

That is exactly how it works. I laminated the hanging tag, they get all messed up in the sun.
