Finally have a week off from classes so I took the same off from work and came up to the moutains. You couldn't ask for better weather, it's just gorgeous up here at this time of year. It's Jaime's first time up here in the summer so we've been seeing/doing all we can. I'm a little bummed I didn't get to bring my truck but oh well atleast I got up here once before summer was over.

We just went and looked around the lakes yesterday but I thought I'd share a couple of the pictures. I'll update with more through the week:D

I had to bring it just so I didn't go through wheeling withdrawls

Damn Devin. Those are some nice pics. I don' t think I have ever seen a lake that is so damn clear. So where exactly is this place located. I assume you can not have a motorboat out there. That would be perfect to get the kids on a canoe and go to some empty shore and do some fishing. Is that canoe yours or is it a rental.

    MORE INFO PLEASE!!!!!

Thats just Twin Lakes, it's right in town. You can find it on any map of Mammoth pretty much. They are the main lakes. And you're correct no motors. I believe small outboards are ok there but I'm not sure. I know on Mary(just a little further up the road) you can have a powered boat.

Also for just a fun play lake try horseshoe. there's no fish but they allow swimming and it has some incredible views.

I'll get up some more pictures monday when I get home. The internet at the house sucks

The wife and I have been talking about going up there for a while now. When does it start to get cold up there?

really anytime now. It could last another month or it could start snowing in a couple weeks. Summer weather up here is coming to a close though.
