    Man!! These prices ain\'t cheap!!

First, I get a quote from Boyce at $3379 for D60 outfitted like Steve's and $1500 for an open diff 14-bolt & now, Tyres International writes back to tell me that 5 Swamper SSR's on 5 16x10 Mickey Thompson Classic II wheels mounted, balanced & shipped with caps & lugs is $2699.08!!! [IMG] What happened to package deals??!!? The unit cost on the tires is $243.23 & the unit cost on the wheels is $128 for a total of $1856.15. That means that for a few lousy lug nuts and a couple of caps with shipping, I'm paying $843.93!!! My D60/14-bolt axles are only costing me $341 Canadian for shipping from Kitchener, Ontario; nowhere in the difference from Akron! Anyone else getting these kind of great prices??[IMG]

    Sorry, just had to vent!

I'd double-check on that price for the tires and wheels. It sounds like maybe they quoted a price with the forged wheels (aka Classics) which run about $100 more per wheel than the cast classic II's. This would put you a little closer to the ballpark.

    6.2

Thought about that too at first but they want $2122 for the same tires with cheaper 15x10 US Steel Wheels.
Just a rip of to me! [IMG]
BTW, I didn't have to pay Boyces prices, I got the same axles on the way to me from JMW in Kitchener, Ontario for the same price in Canadian dollars! And that includes the ARB compressor & the front & rear mounting plates. [IMG][IMG]

You're better off finding one and rebuilding it. I know front D60's aren't everywhere, but 14-bolts are not to hard to find. You might as well do that.

Re: Man!! These prices ain\'t cheap!!

I just bought a 4" lift, 15x10in wheels and 35" Larado M/T's and got 'em all from different places. That mail order crap ain't all its cracked up to be. Some times its cheaper sometimes not. For instance, I got my lift from Tyres Int. for $319 + 60 bucks shipping when I could have got the same thing from a local off-road store for $360 total. Spend the time and do the research b4 you lay down the jack. I wish I would have. So far I've come to realize the mail order is only good for stuff you can't get locally due to their flat rate shipping charges. Good luck! -Tommy
Ps. I think you're gettin' ripped on those M/T classic II's. I was set on getting them at one time and they were $119 a pop for 15x10's -of course that was b4 shipping
