i have heard of a manual choke and have seen them in older trucks. Can one be installed on a quadrajet? i am putting in a keyless starter, but there is no way to activate the choke in the morning without actually going to the truck. it isnt an extremely big deal but it is neat to be able to stand out the front door of my apartment and start my car without walking all the way down there.

You can get a kit from jcwhitney. I've got a Holley with a manual choke setup, it works good on those cold days. Just remember to close the choke when you park your car at night and you will be able to start the car in the morning. Later.
