I just acquited a 3/4 ton 10 bolt. What I need to know is if my 1/2 ton manual Warn lockout hubs will work on the 3/4 ton 10 bolt. The 3/4 ton 10 bolt I just bought has auto locking hubs and I really don't want to fork $65 over for a new set.

i think the 1/2 tons were internal mount and the 3/4 tons are external mount, not sure though

This is true until about 77.

Auto hubs indicate the internal mount style, so yes they will interchange.

You're right. Good catch. It was the 3/4 Dana 44's that had the external mount since they were the only front available before 78.

I have noticed one problem with using internal D44 hubs on a 10-bolt axle. I had Warn Premiums on my 6-lug D44. When I went to 8-lug 10-bolt, the hubs would not work because the groove in the splines for the locking clip (circlip, whatever it's called, it goes around the diamter of the axleshaft to hold the hub in) was a good 1/2 or inch deeper. So it wouldn't work
I had to replace my steering ujoints anyway, so I used the outer stub axles from my d44 and tossed the original 10-botl stubs and it went together fine.
