Manual Trans Conversion ?\'s

Ok, you guys have to be getting tired of me by now. But... I'm actually thinking of putting a manual into the Blazer. My questions are: How involved is it? I understand that most of you will say "Go and get the parts from a donor truck" But, I'm also looking into a 5 or 6sp manual. I'm not sure if one of the 6sp's from the cummins diesel would work or not. If anybody has any info, lemme know..

Why a 6-speed? A 5 is understanable but a 6 seems alittle extreme don't you think? I'm am going to do the manual swap soon and I think I am going for a 465 since they are cheap. Don't get me wrong a 4500 would be great but I really don't have $2000 to get one. But if you have the money I'd go for a 4500, a 6 I think is overboard.

Isn't that what this is all about? Overboard these days is usually JUST enough to scrape bye...

I was thinking 6sp for the super low granny & O/D. Crawl & O/D in one package... Come on, it doesn't take any more thought than that...

But your right, I'm not paying $2k for a 5sp either!
