    Somebody has to!
Reason I ask, I wondering if the stock 30 spline 10 bolts with 3.73 gears would handle the 36"x 14" swampers I have? Tire pro says they can get me a 16.5 x 9.75 6 lug wheels for around $55 each so instead of the tire sitting in my garage they would be under truck.

If you're easy on the go pedal, you might do it w/ 30 spliners... But make sure and carry spare parts. That includes a back axle shaft and the wheel bearing and puller/driver...

I'm currenlty running 4:10 gears, 35" MTR's on a Dana 44 front axle on stock axle shafts, and a GM standard 12 Bolt rear end with standard axle shafts.

I also run a doubler and have a 350 TPI motor, lot's of tourque.

    Good luck.

    supersize -

I was in your shoes for a good year or more. I put about 10 miles on my rig in the first year. I am now driving it on a regular basis and have put about 700 miles on it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My wife thought the same thing - Just a giant toy that had an enormous appetite for money. What was worse is my selling my very reliable daily driver so I could dump the cash into the K5.

I am at the fun point now since all the big stuff is done. It looks like you are about ready to drive the rig around. What are you waiting for? Put in that glass and go /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It is the end of the 4th quarter, 30 seconds left, oh yea for me its crunch time....

I start school in a week, I spent tons on books and classes but the Blazer is not done and I am seriously hoping I can get it done, or the education will suffer /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I just got the drive lines in tonight, cv front/rear
    need to install windshield
get rear lights some what working
    get it registered
    insure it
measure and get belts on it
    refrlare a rear break line
try and see if tha motor will run'
    adjust the carb, set idle
    charge and install the optima
    install tail gate latches
    install/paint tube doos
add vent tubes to tranny and axels
and fix problem with one of my centering pins on a leaf pack
    get a rear view mirror
    find a spare

and then drive it, I am on schedule so far, I hope by saterday to "test" it /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
