more pics Marvs buggy
W T F ???
i've seen it in the garage, but that pic just looks totally different than what was going on originally,,,,definately "weird"
This seems to be the usual reaction......
The "Beetle" moved on it's own power for the first time today!.. Got lotta details to work out and lotta things to hook up still - but it moves!... and boy does it have some low gears!
So is the Funbuggy gonna be neglected now or are these his and her toys.
Hey ...... thats NOT green
YET,,,is a key word though,,,,not green,,,"YET"
Last I knew marv was planning on building a sand rail and then giving the complete funbuggy to me, or it was using the funbuggy parts to build his brother a rock rig. I get confused between the two and can't remember
NO NO NO NO,,,,he can't give YOU the funbuggy, cause he already promised it to ME !
"Her" moved out this spring!...
The plan is to wheel the "Beetle" this season and ultimately do another build on the FunBuggy. And Matt's right... somewhere in the middle is an axle swap and suspension mod on my Brother's TJ.
Looks like the Springer garage may be busy for a while....
Oh... and you can't see them in pics, but these 1/2 ton axles are fully chro-mo'd and CTM'd.... .... Hopefully "unbreakable" for an 1800 lb rig!
Sorry to hear about the "Her" part.
I thought the Treasure Beetle might see more use. Although they both look like they would be fun to drive, that 454 HAS to suck up some gas.
And with the different weight distribution & gearing, do you think the Beetle will out do the Buggy?
My hope is that in the rocks... it will actually be a better climber.
We'll see... .
marv any ideas when u are going to take it out? i would like to go, im dieing to hit a trail or two
