well, although it is a sad thing to see megadeth split up, I think it was for the better... they started going the way of Metallica, and I fear a double live country album would have emerged before too much longer.

I think the real question here is how did he screw up his arm? and who's this Hiatus chick they were all on in texas?

Well that makes two of my favorite bands gone this year and I bet Pantera will be next to go.

i dunno which band youve been listening to dragon, but world needs a hero was a great old styled album.. their previous two sucked, they admit it, but that was because of their label, they switched, and made hero.

According to MTV.com, Mustaine's decision to leave disband Megadeth was “triggered by a series of episodes that date back to the beginning of the year. In January, he relapsed after over a decade of sobriety, a friend of the band said. He checked into a rehabilitation center in Texas, where he sustained an injury that caused severe nerve damage to his left arm and hand, endangering his ability to perform.”

Never was a big fan of them, but jeez, this is getting ridiculous. Guns N Roses, Metallica, Van Halen and now Megadeth, "poof".

    metallicas still around.. sorta..
newstead gone, hetfield in recovery, but technically theyre still a group.. even though theyre teaming up with Ja Rule for a song. so that pretty much kills them in my eyes

I haven't paid much attention to those guys since the 'Smell the Glove' album. Joining with a rapper is a disgrace. Only ones to do right (sorta) was Anthrax.

<font color=blue>Anthrax kicks ass and they can't get a record label ! What's wrong with this picture ! Megadeth was on it's last breath anyway ......... they kept putting out the same old music and nothing new........ they tried to link up ith all of the new popular bands to tour with but none of them wanted to take them on the road because of their bad track record on tours ....... It was a long time coming............ I liked them, but if you can't record new material ...... ba-bye !

yeah it sucks ass that metallica is doing a song with that ja rule loser but, i dont care what anyone says they made some songs that are just amazing. If it were me i would have hung it up a long time ago or at least after garage inc s&amp;m was unnessacary.
All bashing aside the work they put out in the early years makes me forget completely about what they are doing now.

i liked S&amp;M alot.. beautiful stuff.. but thats just my taste in music, not nessicarily metallica
but load / reload had about 2 good songs from the both of em.

anthrax did have a good duo with public enemy wasnt it? bring the noise... like the song, dont listen to it too often but hey.

its just a shame that the guys that took metal to a new level are all dying off, in one form or another.. but we have one more hope!

    motorheads new album!!

I remember the days when Metallica and Anthrax were for the 1%-ers, but now with little girls listening to Metallica, and them doing a song w/that no talent "rapper", they may as well be playing friggin' Britney Spears cover tunes. I wish Cliff was still alive cuz he would have never let them do this crap.

    Re: Megadeth Breaks Up..

MegaDeth's last good one was 15 years ago.
    Same thing with Mettalisellout.
I never realy liked Anthrax till the other guy did vox, don't remember the name but I have it somewheres.
At least guns and hosers went away, **** i can't stand them.
Pantera's last good one was vulgar display.. ahh good times.
I must have seen them at least 10 times in Va BCH, they used to play the bars untill they got famous lol
Not to many bands catch my ears these days. Just yer run of the mill no talent crap.
