Was showing some new airmen how to put on their JSLIST training gear for friday. One of them tightened the jacket drawstring before pulling up the battle thong.

    "Uhh, Davis?"

    -"Yeah?"

"Is this supposed to be so tight, it's pinching my balls"

-"No, you put that on first, then tighten the drawstring."

That's the JSLIST. On the bottom of the jacket is a large drawstring. In the front of the jacket is a snap-loop. When you don the jacket, you must grasp the drawsting from the rear and pull it between your legs and attach it to the snap-loop. Then tighten the drawstring.

If you tighten the drawstring before pulling it through your legs to the snap-loop, the "battle thong" will be uncomfortably tight.

never donned one, but i would assume it is to keep the jacket from getting pulled up and exposing you're skin to bad stuff(ie posin gas)

That gets funnier everytime I hear of someone doing that with the JList suits. I had to to a training class on it a a couple of months ago and I made sure to tell them all to hook it in the front before tying the drawstrings and 2 of them still did it backwards. :haha: :haha:
