I'm actually on number 2, but that's besides the point......

I missed ripping out a 600 amp secondary service by about a half an inch, so I needed a little "breather" tonight. Conveniently it is Friday, eh?

    Cheers, brothers!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

I usually plan the first heavy duty group drinking session during the coldest time of the year. God willing it's still a few months away. Don't worry, there will be plenty of advance notice beofre the event!!!!!

Close calls are always scary. Back in the mid 80s, I was building a strip mall in Oklahoma. My dozer operator came running into my trailer, yelling and acting hysterical. He had hit some kind of gas line while cutting grade. It was an unknown 3" riser off a 6" main!!! He started yelling "what do I do?" over and over again. I grabbed him by the collar and marched him back out to his machine and told him to get a blade full of dirt, drive over the spot where the gas was coming out of the ground, and park the track over it. This was noon time less than 50 feet from a 4 lane road, bunch of traffic, so we couldn't just run away. It only took the city gas people about 5 minutes to get there and shut the main down. I was a nervous wreck the whole time, just picturing someone tossing a cigarette out the window and turning us all into crispy critters. I guess God really does look out for fools and drunks.

See, it's usually me responding to hit lines and such. I've got stories that STILL give me nightmares....(ever seen an 8" 80 PSI line blow out????!!!!!:eek1: ). That'sd what sucks so much for me. I've been at this for over 17 years, but regardless of how long you've been around you can still get a reminder from The Reaper that you're still mortal........

Fock the guys that installed a 600 amp service 6" deep anyways.

Anyhow, back to dancning with the kids!!!! :thumb:
