Just got off the phone with the ranger and the trail is open, let's go before it gets too hot...I was thinking a day trip, not an overnight.

    Here are a few options...
    June 3?
    June 24?
    July 1?

    Anybody interested?

6/24 is good. When the other guys sign-on, they'll tell ya its a one day trail, unless you're a writer for a magazine.:haha: I'll be changing R&Ps between now and then. Has anyone been through there since last Fall?

Ok I'm in for the 24th but lets try and make it happen for real this time because we have talked about it a bunch and I really would like to get some wheeling done before it gets to hot.

I hunted down that trail last year in October and it was really bad. I was hunting the other side down from Alamo mountain. I guess it would be the last hill to get to the top of Alamo mountain if your coming from Lockwood Valley road. Theres a tight spot when you cross the river and start going up the trail from Lockwood Valley road. I think Esteban has a picture of this tight spot. I remember seeing a picture of this from him a couple of years ago. I have seen a 2 trucks flip from this spot. It is really slippery and a blazer barely fits in this spot.

OK, I am so going to eat crap for this, but I totally forgot that the project I am managing for work converts on the 24th which means I have to work all weekend...

    So, how about June 3?
I realize it is not that far away, but I can get the D60 rebuild (again) and maybe the springs on in time...If not, then i am out until June...

Alos, blazindorito, thanks for the update, I guess it is better two blazers flipping than one blazer flipping twice...Camok5, I might get scared...will you hold my hand?

Here is all I have as far as pictures from that place. This was 3 years ago. My blazer was somewhat stock and it handled the trail fairly easily. You can see my Blazer in the first pic on the far right. Anyways, I ran it last year and it was extremely easy with the way the Blazer was then. I don't really see any of you haveing major problems through there. Maybe I'll bum a ride off of one of you guys if the date is right. It's only 30 minutes from my house.:D

Azusa as always, I'm gonna keep hitting it as much as I can while there's still mud. In a few weeks it will be back to summer conditions and dry out.

If we do Miller on a day I can go Esteban you're more than welcome to hop in with me

It wasn't that bad when I was there last august. As long as you have a rear locker you'll be able to make it through no problem.
